I first learned I was passionate about birth work when I was in medical school (I know, medical school and doula aren’t normally in the same sentence). It is this extensive medical background that gives me a unique understanding of how births are handled versus the potential for there to be better methods.

After my OB/GYN rotation, I was hooked on being around pregnant and birthing mothers. I was part of a dozen deliveries, including emergency and scheduled c-sections. It was a privilege to experience those births with those families but there was something nagging at me: this could be done better.

And so began my journey of becoming a doula and birth educator. My goal is for mothers and families to have well-informed, well-prepared birth experiences. I want to know the best ways I can help you and I believe in a holistic approach. I think personalized care is what everyone deserves during pregnancy, especially during birth. Holding space for strong beautiful women is what I’m here for.

I have been blessed to be living on the island of Maui for 2 years now with my wonderful husband. Having worked in the education system here, I have come to have a deep respect for the people and keiki of Maui. To be able to serve them during their sacred time of birth is a great honor.
